Get to know me

I have a track record of creating transformative global community-building initiatives in financial services - leveraging expertise in advocacy and influencing with focus and direction. Specific segments have included non-profits, financial services, post graduate education, technology, capital markets, superannuation, insurance, private equity and venture capital.

The first 15 years of my career were spent leading treasury operations for a series of investment banks. This was followed by a series of leadership roles for peak industry bodies in the financial services sector. With more than a decade of pioneering accomplishments in regulatory technology and innovation, fostering collaboration among global regulators, institutions, and investors, my work now supports the adoption of cutting-edge technologies that elevate trust and standards in citizen-facing ecosystems worldwide. Most recently I have co-founded an organisation called The Lotus Coterie in Australia that elevates women’s economic empowerment and founded my advisory practice Deborah Young Advisory to serve my clients with strategy and community building initiatives.

As an Advisory Committee Member for The RegTech Association, founding member and contributor to Women in Regulatory Innovation, Global Council for Alliance for Innovative Regulation and Australia’s Age Assurance Technology Trial, my focus remains on tackling global challenges, enabling growth, safeguarding financial systems and people. I am an ambassador for RegTech for The FinTech Marketplace conference and advocate for Australian startup Grey Matters - a tech enabled Ai app delivering highly personalised longevity plans, helping individuals thrive in the second half of life.
